She's Here!

Hayley Kay Frost arrived on September 29,2010 at 10:33AM. She weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 inches long!! And yes I know, this is late :-) We've been sort of busy!

Her birth was great, even easier than Peyton's! I was induced at 6AM that morning and had contractions regularly but they weren't painful. My doctor came in and broke my water at about 8:45 and then the contractions started in pretty intense, so of course that was the time I got my epidural :-) It was fantastic! Less than 2 hours later she was here! I only pushed twice again :-) I really don't think it could have been easier! She was beautiful and cried and screamed like she should. It was perfect, brought back the wonderful memories of when Peyton was born :-) Below is a link to her newborn pictures!

Big Girl!

So over the past month or so, Peyton has finally mastered climbing up on the slide and going down all by herself :-) Finally.....I can just sit and watch her play without having to help her on the slide all the time, lol. She is a very cautious little girl, which isn't bad, but it means she wants me to help or hold her hand for lots of things. I've discovered the more I tell her she can do it herself, the more she tries things. She is quite proud of herself for being able to do the slide all on her own.....and so am I :-)

Playing in the Dirt

So Brad and I got a new deck put on the house a few weeks ago and I finally got him to do the landscaping around it :-) I did alot of work too, but being almost 36 weeks pregnant....I did the best I could :-) But we had one great helper and that was Peyton! She was so excited to see the flowers and bushes! I gave her a spade so she could "help" us and she started digging in the dirt like it was her job, lol. She kept saying "dirt" "spade", lol. She had a blast and amazingly this kept her entertained for hours so Brad and I could get everything done for the landscaping. She just went around digging in the dirt and taking breaks to kick her "pooh" ball around the yard and play on her slide.

She took a break to water my tree

"um, mommy, can we get back to work please?"

She did this for hours, lol

Baby Girl Update- 31 weeks!

Only 9 weeks left!! Maybe only 8, if she comes a week early like her big sister did ;-) She is measuring right on track and doing great! She is so active, much more active in my belly than Peyton ever was. Not sure if that is a sign of what's to come or not, lol. I am feeling good, just getting tired and so, so hot! I've decided that being pregnant in the summer is not the most fun. Other than being tired, I feel good and certainly can't complain. I see my OB every 2 weeks now, and I remember with Peyton that once we got to that point time really starting to fly by. I can't wait to meet this sweet baby girl and give Peyton a sister :-)

Summer Fun

This summer has been so much fun! We have been doing so many things and taking little mini vacations as a family. We have been to The Kentucky Horsepark and the Newport Aquarium and we've been to the zoo about 6 times already! Peyton just loves seeing the animals, and it never gets boring. It has been so much fun to spend time as a family before this new little baby girl arrives. It has been quite a hot summer already, and it's even hotter being pregnant!! But I love being pregnant, even if it is crazy hot. Peyton doesn't seem to understand about the new baby, but I think she is too young to get it. Right now she says she is excited about a baby sister, but I don't think she knows what that means, lol. Here are some pictures from the summer so far.

Chowing down on a corn dog at the 4th of July parade!

Watching the fish swim by at the zoo....the fish and monkeys seem to be her favorite!

Here is my silly girl.....wearing her sunglasses and looking too cool to be 18 months

She's a Toddler!

Writing this makes me sad....might be the pregnancy hormones, but I'm pretty sure every mom gets sad when they realize their "baby" isn't much of a baby anymore. Especially you're first....there is something so special about your first-born. They are the ones that taught you everything you need to know to be a good parent the next time around :-) We've entered the world of toddler beds, sitting on the potty, and independence! Peyton is such a little sweatheart and has recently become very attatched to both mommy and daddy....perhaps she senses that things are changing...or it's just a phase. Whatever it is, Brad and I are enjoying every second of it! She gives big hugs and kisses and cuddles. Her new favorite thing to do is to play naked in her new big girl room after bathtime at night. She runs around with her little tushy shaking, lol. It is so cute! Just tonight she was running around naked and then stops and comes over to me on the bed and lays down next to me and cuddles me.....we sang the ABC's and I told her all about her new little sister coming this summer. It makes me sad to think that in such a short while, it won't be just her anymore. Exciting.....but still kind of sad....

She is finally learning to stop and smile for the camera!

"It wasn't me mommy, I swear"

"Huh?"
